Child Counselling (ages 6 to 12)

We aim to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where children feel understood, respected, and empowered to express themselves. Our focus is on fostering emotional well-being, building resilience, and supporting healthy development so children can thrive at home, in school, and in their relationships.

Key Aspects of Child Counselling

  • Emotional Expression and Regulation: Helping children identify, understand, and manage their emotions in healthy ways.

  • Self-Esteem and Confidence: Supporting children in developing a positive self-image and a stronger sense of competence.

  • Behavioural Support: Addressing challenges such as anxiety, mood changes, behavioural concerns, social difficulties, or school-related stress.

  • Coping Skills: Teaching practical strategies to manage big feelings, transitions, and life stressors.

  • Family Collaboration: Working closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen communication, provide guidance, and support the child’s overall well-being.

  • Early Intervention: Identifying concerns early and providing support to prevent future emotional or behavioural difficulties.

Our therapists use developmentally appropriate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed approaches to support each child’s unique needs. We integrate methods from:

  • Emotion-Focused Strategies

  • Mindfulness and Self-Regulation Techniques

  • Parent Consultation and Coaching

  •

We recognize that every child is unique. Our approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized, ensuring children feel safe while developing the skills and confidence needed for healthy emotional and social growth.
