ICBC Counselling Services

We provide a safe, supportive, and confidential environment for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents. Our goal is to help clients navigate the emotional, psychological, and physical impacts of their experience while supporting their overall healing and recovery process.

Key Aspects of ICBC Counselling

  • Emotional Support: Helping clients process trauma, fear, or distress related to the accident.

  • Pain and Stress Management: Teaching strategies to cope with chronic pain, anxiety, and stress that may arise after injury.

  • Adjustment and Recovery: Supporting individuals as they adapt to lifestyle changes and regain a sense of normalcy and confidence.

  • Coping Skills: Providing tools to manage symptoms of depression, post-traumatic stress, and other emotional challenges.

  • Empowerment and Resilience: Encouraging self-compassion, strength, and optimism throughout the rehabilitation journey.

Our Therapeutic Approaches

Our counsellors integrate trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique experience and recovery needs. These may include: Somatic and Mindfulness-Based Practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma Processing and Pain Management Strategies and Art Therapy and Expressive Techniques.

We work collaboratively with clients, healthcare professionals, and ICBC to ensure a comprehensive and person-centred recovery plan. Our focus is to help individuals restore emotional balance, rebuild confidence, and promote overall well-being following a motor vehicle accident.
